How to Break the Scroll Cycle: Creative Hobbies for Inner Calm and Happiness
Everyday responsibilities often leave us feeling drained and unable to do much more than mindlessly scroll through social media. But that just makes things worse because then we are left with feelings of overwhelm, unhappiness and anxiety. To break this cycle, we've started incorporating activities that inspire creativity and bring a sense of calm. Below are some of our favorite creative hobbies that can be enjoyed in a group or solo.
Summer Skincare Routine
Keeping skincare routine simple is important to us. We don’t have time for the 10-step routine nor we want to spend our limited free time that way. We try not to follow any trends and avoid buying any latest “must try” products paddled by the influencers. The list of products below are tried and true and we have used them for years. Our usual routine consist of a face wash, a serum when necessary, face moisturizer and sunscreen (in the morning).
Crêpes Suzette with Mascarpone Cream
Our family loves crêpes and it’s our dessert of choice on any occasion. While looking for ideas on what to make for a dessert for our family dinner last week, crêpes Suzette kept coming up as a suggestion. At first, we were a bit intimidated because lighting anything on fire in a kitchen seemed like it could quickly turn into a disaster, but after a first successful try and all eyebrows intact, we realized it was not that bad.
The Red Trend Frenzy
We’ve been playing with the red trend and wanted to share 16 ways to add a pop of red to your home or your closet.

A Thoughtful Gift Guide
Gift-giving is the love language in our family. While this time of the year can be stressful for some people, for us it’s the most exciting time of the year! Searching for the perfect gift for the loved ones brings us so much joy, and we always make sure it’s something we would be happy to get. While I think we all have so many objects and stuff in our houses, I don’t think there’s anything worse than receiving a gift that you don’t know what to do with it.
Books that Redefined My Perspective on Life and Career
This year, I mostly read books about people who boldly pursued the lives they truly wanted. There is something unique about these people I’ve been trying to understand.
Where to get a good cup of coffee in Belgrade
Coffee shops have always played a significant role in the social lives of many people. It's where we meet up with friends, get some work done on our laptops, do a bit of writing or reading, or simply observe the world around us. There's a special kind of relaxation that comes with a good cup of coffee and the ambiance of a coffee shop. As someone who's often first in line when a new coffee shop opens, I'd like to share some of my favorite spots in Belgrade with you.

When I heard about the premier of the movie “What Happens Later” the little girl in me who watched almost every rom-com with her ( My favorites are “Kate & Leopold” and “French Kiss”) was ecstatic.
TGIF: Peach Soju Spritz Recipe
I refuse to accept that summer is almost over, and in order to make it last a little bit longer, I am trying out some of my summer-inspired recipes. Since it's Friday and I visited a Korean food store last weekend, I'm excited to share my Peach Soju Spritz recipe with you. I firmly believe in making every moment special, and even a drink after a work week should be served in a nice glass. So, my advice is to begin by finding a beautiful glass, and then proceed from there. Once you've chosen your glass, here's what you will need:
Learn about Serbian history in Belgrade
Once you step your foot on Belgrade coble, you can see that this city and the country have a vibrant history. When I was younger, in elementary and even at the beginning of high school, I really didn’t show any interest in learning more about Serbian history, until my senior year when I really started to pay attention in class. Thanks to my late history teacher Katarina Hadži Tešić, who put in a lot of effort to really get to know us, and presented us the pieces of history that she thought we personally would find interesting, I started going to the museums and historical sights around Serbia. Now going to exhibits is my favorite activity to do in my free time.
I made a list of places and activities I think would be a great start for you to learn more about Serbia and all the historical transition this territory went through.
